Note

1. A few tips to judge the quality of a yoga mat after getting it in hand.

①Use your thumb and forefinger to squeeze the mat to see if there will be fingerprints on the mat, if the marks don't disappear for a long time then it is not advisable to choose, meanwhile see if the mat rebound is sufficient.

②Wet your palm with water to wet a small piece of yoga mat, imitate the situation after sweating to see if it will slip. You don't need to use a lot of water as you won't normally sweat a lot except for special types of yoga that have a lot of movement, such as Power Yoga.

③Rub the mat with an eraser to see if it breaks or falls off easily.

2. Why are yoga mats so expensive?

You may think that an expensive yoga mat is not worth it. However, high-end yoga mats may be safer as more and more big brands are turning to natural materials (gum, cotton, jute). These are healthier for you and less toxic.

3. Do yoga mats come with a front and back side?

Many yoga mats are reversible, so it doesn't really matter which side lands on the floor.Usually the side with the pattern faces up. If there is no pattern, look closely at the surface - the bumpy textured side will usually be up, while the smooth side should be against the floor.
